Facilitates patient visitation and serves as liaison between patients, families and team members. Provides relevant screening procedures for patients, guests and team members during periods of need as determined by Prisma Health. Provides appropriate assistance to patients. Greets patients upon arrival, ensure orders and other documentation are accurate and checks patients in using appropriate departmental procedures. Performs screening duties for patients, guests and team members entering facilities using infrared thermometers and scripted screening questions during periods of influenza or other pandemic periods. Performs other tasks and responsibilities associated with particular workstation as appropriate. Facilitates patient visitation. Provides general assistance to family members and guests by assisting them while waiting and providing comfort measures when needed. Facilitates communication between patients, family members, guests, and team members. Serves as a liaison between patients, family members and team members. Provides appropriate assistance to team members. Assists with patient check-in and patient tracking procedures. Helps with departmental clerical tasks and errands as appropriate. Assists in maintaining clean and quiet surroundings. Performs other duties as assigned. ​Supervisory/Management Responsibility This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Requirements

  • Education - High School Diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
  • Experience - One (1) year of experience in a customer service position
  • Basic computer skills
  • Data entry skills
