About The Position

TH Experiential is seeking a VP, Business Strategy & Operations to serve as a senior leadership partner to the CEO and a cornerstone of the agency’s next phase of growth. This is not a traditional “ops manager” role—it is a VP-level operator with real authority, responsible for owning how the business runs day-to-day and how it scales over time. This leader will act as a true right hand to the CEO, with meaningful oversight across Production and Account leadership, and the mandate to enforce operational discipline, resourcing strategy, and financial rigor across the agency. The role is designed to ensure teams are supported, projects are set up correctly, and leadership has clear visibility into performance, risk, and margin. This position is ideal for a senior agency operator who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, operations, and people leadership. Requirements

  • 13+ years of experience in business strategy, operations, or senior agency leadership, ideally within experiential or creative services
  • Agency operations or leadership experience
  • Proven ability to partner with founders and executive teams to stabilize, scale, and professionalize growing organizations
  • Strong operational and financial acumen, including org design, resourcing models, pricing, forecasting, and margin management
  • Experience building and implementing systems, processes, and performance metrics that improve efficiency and visibility

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve TH’s business operations framework, ensuring projects follow the correct cadence from RFP through closeout (kickoffs, finance check-ins, production milestones, wrap).
  • Enforce SOPs across all teams—not as “process police,” but as an empowered leader with authority and accountability.
  • Establish and run operational rhythms that surface risk early, unblock teams, and keep leadership out of the weeds.
  • Ensure work is set up correctly from the start so teams can deliver effectively without chronic overburn.
  • Own resourcing and capacity planning across rfp and project teams.
  • Ensure the agency is staffed sustainably—anticipating pinch points, freelancer needs, and upcoming demand.
  • Use hours, forecasts, and workload data to actively prevent burnout and reactive staffing.
  • Partner with leadership on hiring plans, role definition, and organizational design as the agency scales.
  • Maintain strategic oversight of financial health, ensuring the right data flows to finance and leadership.
  • Sanity-check reports related to hours burn, forecasts, margins, and left-to-spend.
  • Flag issues early, call out risks, and drive corrective action in partnership with finance, Production, and Accounts.
  • Ensure hours, forecasts, burn, margin targets, and freelancer plans are tracked—and acted on.
  • Provide real oversight of Production and Account leadership, including: Performance management input Enforcing expectations and ways of working Strategic and operational inputs to drive efficiency and improve margin
  • Ensure agency systems (e.g., Harvest, Asana, Podio) are set up correctly and integrated in day-to-day business.
  • Drive adoption through clarity, leadership, and accountability.
  • Improve reporting reliability.
