About The Position

Develops and services CRE relationships as applicable. Actively participates in business development activities to assist in the growth of the bank, including outside calling, and referral to other lines of business. Manages portfolio of existing Investment Real Estate Commercial Customers with borrowing needs of $3.0MM or more. The portfolio size is likely to be medium to large customers who may specialize in multi-family, industrial, retail, office or the medical segments of the real estate industry.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Commercial Banking and/or related experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong loan structuring and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to effectively present to senior levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a mentor to junior RMs
  • Strong computer skills
  • BS Degree in Business, Economics or Finance, or equivalent financial experience

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service and has demonstrated success in retaining and expanding existing relationships. Serves as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Customer Needs and Cross Sell: Identifies and understands customer needs. Demonstrates solid knowledge of banking products and services. Makes proactive recommendations and cross sells bank products. Has a good working relationship with all product partners.
  • New Business Development: Demonstrated success in developing new business. Has established and well-developed Centers of Influence.
  • Credit/Analytic Skills: Solid analytical skills with demonstrated ability to assess financial performance and risk on more complex deals including identifying ways to mitigate risk to the bank. Establishes a strong working relationship with Credit Partners to ensure ongoing credit quality of portfolio. Proven ability to adhere to sound risk management/pricing practices as well as to all internal and external credit/regulatory requirements.
  • Deal Structuring/Negotiation: Able to structure most deals with minimal guidance. Ability to recommend covenant structure and thresholds for all deals. Has demonstrated solid negotiating skills. Able to review loan documentation and close loans with terms and conditions consistent with approvals.
  • Portfolio Management: Has good working relationship with Commercial Loan Administrators and Credit Partners to ensure proper management of portfolio including financial reporting, exception resolution, annual reviews and file memos.
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.
