This position will manage the Finance functions (A/R, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, etc.). Serves as the proactive financial controller/leader on the Management Team and supports financial directives with accurate and prompt analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years job-related experience, (cost accounting experience, development of strategic and operational planning). Minimum 5 years in management level supervision.
  • BS in Accounting, financial management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing standard costing operation including production and financial analysis, (p/l, balance sheet, budget variance, closings, forecasting).
  • Extensive experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Must be able to use intuition, logical reasoning and innovation to solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and is responsible for the accounting/financial systems and the consolidated financial management reporting
  • Accountable for the development and completion of strategic and operating plans, forecasts, and re-forecasts.
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of accounting and financial analysis systems to ensure concise consistent and meaningful data
  • Drives the budget process and leads preparation of consolidated operating statements and forecasts.
  • Identify and focus on areas for improvement and explain positive and negative variances to assist operations in maximizing profits.
  • Manages the monthly and yearly closings to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Corporate requirements.
  • Proactively assists site managers with site financial analysis, cost controls, profit improvement programs, capital justifications, and "what if" analysis.
  • Acts as a liaison with corporate finance personnel. Coordinates accounting activities in compliance with and according to corporate guidelines.
  • Assures that capital budgeting, submission, justifications, dissemination and tracking comply with Corporate guidelines and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and practices for successfully responding to and preparing for internal/external audits.
  • Operate as an effective team member of the senior leadership team.
  • Manage the Accounting department to maximize team productivity and effectiveness, achieving high morale and development of subordinates.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining key manufacturing measures.
