About The Position

The Vice President of Branch Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for SAFE’s branch network. This role drives sales performance, service excellence, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. The VP collaborates with executive leadership to expand deposits, lending, and member relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and consistent delivery of the SAFE Experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in financial services, credit union operations, or retail banking.
  • Proven success leading multiple branches or regional operations.
  • Strong background in sales leadership, operational management, and employee development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Branch Managers to achieve operational, service, and financial goals.
  • Build a high-performance sales and service culture focused on member satisfaction and growth.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to drive productivity and profitability.
  • Conduct regular branch visits to ensure service standards and operational compliance.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow deposits, lending, membership, and overall branch performance.
  • Identify market opportunities and collaborate on product and service enhancements.
  • Represent SAFE at community events to expand brand visibility and member engagement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing branch leadership and staff.
  • Coach and mentor leaders to ensure consistent management practices.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Optimize staffing models and branch workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Support branches with operational problem-solving and escalated member issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including OFAC, BSA/Patriot Act, and the Privacy Act.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness across the branch network.
  • Ensure timely completion of required training, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee intake, tracking, investigation, and resolution of member complaints across all channels.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory agency complaints.
  • Analyze complaint trends and implement corrective action.
