About The Position

The Vice President of Optimization & Analytics is responsible for developing the systems, reporting, and analytics needed to improve equipment reliability and provide clear operational visibility across the fleet. This role works closely with operations, sales, and C&I leadership to ensure field data is captured accurately, organized effectively, and used to improve uptime, decision making, and customer communication. The position oversees the company’s analytics infrastructure, reliability reporting, and control room development. The objective is to build practical systems that support day-to-day operations while strengthening the company’s long-term data and reliability capabilities.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of natural gas power generation products or similar rotating equipment
  • Strong background in industrial operations, reliability engineering, analytics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience working with equipment monitoring systems, SCADA platforms, telemetry data, and operational reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience implementing or managing CRM systems and integrating them with operational workflows.
  • Working knowledge of predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and analytics tools used to monitor industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with operations, sales, and C&I teams to build a culture of collaboration around data, reliability, and continuous improvement. The analytics group should function as a partner to the operating teams rather than a separate reporting function.
  • Develop and maintain internal Power BI dashboards that provide clear visibility into fleet performance, operational KPIs, and reliability metrics. Where appropriate, develop customer-facing dashboards that allow customers to view equipment performance and operating status.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual internal processes through improved systems integration, automation, and better use of existing tools. Priority should be given to simplifying workflows for operations personnel and field technicians. Maximize the use of current systems wherever possible. New software or platforms should only be introduced when there is a clear operational need and when existing systems cannot reasonably meet the requirement.
  • Work with sales and operations leadership to develop and maintain the company’s CRM platform. The system should track the full lifecycle of customer engagement from initial contact through contract execution while capturing key commercial and operational metrics.
  • Lead the development and ongoing operation of a centralized control room in coordination with operations leadership. This includes identifying the operational metrics that should be monitored in real time and strengthening communication with field technicians and customers.
  • Oversee the company’s analytics program. Validate existing data streams, confirm data accuracy, and establish processes that ensure information used across the organization is reliable and consistent.
  • Develop internal systems to track equipment movements, swaps, redeployments, and maintenance activity across the fleet. Improve field-level data collection so operational activity and equipment performance are consistently captured. Identify and establish data streams for new equipment offerings and new projects. Work with engineering and operations to ensure telemetry and instrumentation are incorporated early in the design and deployment process.
  • Develop machine learning models and anomaly detection tools that help identify potential equipment issues before they result in field failures. These tools should support predictive maintenance and improve overall fleet reliability.
  • Oversee the company’s SCADA system to ensure real-time equipment data is accurately captured and displayed for operations leadership and the control room. Provide regular reporting on equipment reliability and field failures. Support operations and engineering teams with root cause analysis and reliability improvement efforts.
  • Develop systems to manage field campaigns, product improvements, and quality initiatives. Ensure changes are tracked, communicated to the field, and verified once implemented. Establish consistent reliability metrics across the fleet including uptime, mean time between failures, and other performance indicators that provide meaningful visibility into equipment performance.
  • Manage the budget for the reliability and analytics group including software platforms, external services, and staffing needs. Build and/or utilize existing tam members to develop a team of analysts, data scientists, and systems specialists responsible for supporting the analytics and reliability program.
