About The Position

- Warehouse Associate-Day The primary function of this position includes but is not limited to assist with the receiving of inbound orders. This is a warehouse position responsible for unloading inbound shipments, conveying products to the receiving staging area, and breaking down product and separating product by specific item numbers. Essential Duties Include Operates an electric pallet jack (or other powered industrial equipment) to unload inbound shipments from trailers and convey product to the receiving area and warehouse aisles Breaks down and restacks product from pallets Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including, but not limited to powered industrial equipment, voice headsets, and personal protective equipment Perform pre-trip inspections, and safely operate all powered industrial equipment Shrink-wrap product on the loading dock Adhere to all safety practices and company policies and food safety principles. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions Maintains and clean and safe work environment Organizes warehouse slots to prepare for selection by rotating pallets and fronting shelves Attends all required company meetings Performs other related duties as assigned Scheduled Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm) Pay Rate: $18.20/hourly

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test
  • Must adhere to all safety practices and company policies
  • Meet or exceed established cases per error goals
  • Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop a working knowledge of the product
  • Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs up to 75 pounds unassisted. When lifting more that 75 pounds, a lifting device should be used, or two or more people may assist
  • Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets
  • Constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack or other powered industrial equipment, retrieving items from lower shelf areas

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience operating electric pallet jack or forklift preferred
