About The Position

The Warehouse & Production Operator is responsible for safely performing shipping, receiving, warehouse functions, and production support in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate material handling, production of finished goods, order fulfillment, cleanliness, and adherence to company safety policies.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, previous ERP experience a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and climb stairs for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, frequently.
  • Able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 50 feet on occasion.
  • Able to perform manual dexterity tasks.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work in an un-cooled warehouse facility where temperatures may reach 100° Fahrenheit.
  • Occasional turning, twisting, stooping, bending, and reaching.
  • Able to wear a hairnet and beard net, if applicable, with a hard hat.
  • No exposed jewelry in body piercings when in a GMP production area.
  • Due to safety concerns, the wearing of contact lenses is prohibited.
  • Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day. Please refer to the SOP for facial hair guidelines
  • Ability to wear SCBA and additional personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous chemical manufacturing experience recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Active contributor and leader of Hydrite’s Safety Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Provides consistent, safety-focused support for all shipping, receiving, and operational functions.
  • Receive incoming materials and verify contents and quantities against purchase orders.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment.
  • Inspect, package, stretch-wrap, and band shipments to ensure proper labeling and secure transport.
  • Prepare and document outgoing shipments.
  • Unload bulk raw materials and intermediates into designated storage or packaging areas.
  • Pull inventory for customer orders based on pick tickets.
  • Store finished goods and raw materials.
  • Obtain product samples for Quality Control testing.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist production with routine maintenance.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment.
  • Operate equipment to mix and process raw materials.
  • Package and weigh raw materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain clean work areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
  • Operate digital scales accurately.
  • Follow company safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
