About The Position

Consor Engineers is seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineering Intern to join our Phoenix, AZ office. This opportunity is ideal for graduate students pursuing a Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering disciplines who are interested in gaining hands‑on experience with municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. About the Role As a Water/Wastewater Treatment Intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to support the planning, design, and evaluation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. You will contribute to technical analyses, reports, and design efforts while gaining exposure to treatment processes, facility operations, and multidisciplinary project delivery. This internship offers valuable exposure to municipal treatment projects and provides an excellent foundation for a long‑term career in water and wastewater engineering.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Completion of an undergraduate engineering degree
  • Strong interest in water and/or wastewater treatment engineering
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or research experience related to water or wastewater treatment processes
  • Familiarity with engineering calculations, technical writing, or data analysis
  • Familiarity w ith treatment process modeling or design software.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including new facilities, expansions, and rehabilitation projects
  • Assisting with treatment process evaluations, calculations, and system sizing
  • Preparing technical memoranda, engineering reports, feasibility studies, and planning documents
  • Assisting with development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Collaborating with civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical team members
  • Supporting high‑quality, client‑focused project delivery
