Requirements

  • 5+ years of welding experience preferred
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree required
  • Competent in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • 2+ years in reading and interpreting blueprints including GD&T
  • Proficient using layout and hand tools (tape measures, scales, calipers, squares, etc.
  • Ability to set various weld parameters per process (MIG, TIG)
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to adequately manage workload under pressure
  • Team player with useful organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, measuring tools, processes / procedures, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Layout and assemble weldments using hand tools (tape measures, squares, clamps, etc)
  • Weld parts per print
  • Operate fork trucks and overhead cranes safely
  • Maintain and utilize lifting / rigging equipment
  • Keep a clean and organized work area
  • Provide feedback for areas of improvement in shop (i.e., workflow efficiency)
  • Process work records and / or documentation as required
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
