About The Position

Reports to Extruder Technician in supporting Flexpack Department operations and to produce the highest quality product meeting the customer specifications.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude desirable.
Six months previous production experience required.
1-year production line experience
Good oral and written communication skills

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Complies with all written and verbal safety rules, SQF (Food Safety) and procedures.
Keeps all assigned work areas clean and safe.
Reports to Extruder Technicians on production status.
Responsible with Extruder Technician for meeting or exceeding production standards.
Assist Extruder Technician on set ups or changeovers, as required.
Assist in training new personnel and shares workload, as needed.
Must be able to read and understand production instructions.
Must be able to understand and fill out production ticket correctly.
Must be able to load and unload winder correctly.
Must know winder control panel and operate controls correctly.
Must know slit seal operation and safety: control panel, adjustments, cleaning.
Must know proper thread up of entire line: tower, press, bag machine, and winder.
Must know film, print and packaging quality checks.
Monitors production and packaging equipment and operates in accordance to instructions.
Must know and perform proper packing, stacking, and labeling techniques.
Must know proper cutting and lifting techniques and perform each safely.
Must know basic knowledge of bag making process and be able to explain.
Pass all Master training courses with minimum score of 80.
Any other duties or responsibilities as deemed necessary by Sr. Lead/Supervisor.
