About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES Machine Operation: Set up and operate wire cutting machines according to job specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. Production Accuracy: Measure and cut wire materials to exact lengths and tolerances using precision tools and equipment. Equipment Setup & Adjustment: Adjust machine settings, tooling, and guides to accommodate different wire sizes and production requirements. Quality Inspection: Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and tolerances; identify and report defects. Material Handling: Load raw materials and manage finished goods using appropriate handling techniques and equipment. Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of wire cutting equipment; report mechanical issues as needed. Documentation: Accurately complete production logs, quality records, and work orders in a timely manner. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and ensure a safe working environment at all times. Continuous Improvement: Support process improvements and participate in team initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Previous experience operating wire cutting, cable processing, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, rulers, micrometers) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS This position may require standing for extended periods, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 50 lbs while working in a manufacturing environment.
