About The Position

Power your future with Qualus in our Field Engineering department as a Wireman. The Wireman is to perform wire pulling, wire termination, and control panel construction withing substations and electrical facilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic electrical knowledge in commercial, industrial, or utility projects
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (inclusive of reading and writing) due to the nature of safety-related materials, documentation, and interactions with clients.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid Driver's license and good driving record

Responsibilities

• Reads prints, uses standard hand and power tools, follow specific work instructions while adhering to all Safety and Human Performance fundamentals
• Inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment in generating stations, substations, and in-service relays
• Wires from point-to-point or schematics
• Install process piping and instrumentation
• Installs components per layout drawings
