Requirements

  • Required Qualifications for Workforce Education Enrollment Specialist I: This position requires a high school diploma and four years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions. Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Required Qualifications for Workforce Education Enrollment Specialist II: This position requires a high school diploma and six years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions. Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, communication principles, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects when numerous and competing demands are involved.
  • Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency and learn new applications and systems.
  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports.
  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff, faculty, students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively, have a high standard of integrity, and be motivated to incorporate best practices into the organizational structure.

Responsibilities

  • Assists all non-credit students with inquiries, responses, and navigation of processes related to enrollment, payment for programs, and access to programs and courses.
  • Provides support for students to engage with faculty and staff related to non-credit courses and programs.
  • Provides support for gathering, organizing and reporting enrollment, persistence, and completion information.
  • Assists in the acquisition, analysis, and utilization of customer lists.
  • Participates in the development of all satisfaction surveys and follow-ups with non-credit students to obtain feedback to inform continuous improvement and satisfy reporting requirements.
  • Assists with website updates and website design related to non-credit course enrollment.
  • Assists with communications initiatives such as creation of brochures and direct marketing materials, and provides support for the completion of marketing campaigns related to non-credit course enrollment.
  • Supports communication and logistics for events, mailings, and related activities via telephone and email.
  • Maintains enrollment processes, student records, and outreach to prospective and enrolled non-credit students.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries of course requirements and application procedures.
  • Ensures that applications are completed correctly and required supporting materials have been obtained.
  • Collects information and qualifies potential students for admission to programs or courses offered.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Assists with the processing of billing and payment processing.
  • Supports the coordination of program scheduling, classes, completes certificates created for students, and management of records of programs offered.
  • Provides superior customer care to our internal and external customers.
  • Represents the department at meetings as needed.
