Primary responsibility includes selling all Mercury products, generating interest in and closing programs & promotions and providing world class customer service to Mercury Dealers in the United States in a results-driven team environment. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy selling, are achievement-oriented and believe in achieving sales goals through strong collaboration with their co-workers and field sales managers, as well as other internal stakeholders. The position also includes working direct with dealers on order processing, product inquires, and process and procedure communication. Problem solving and ability to make decisions within policies and procedures is required. The zone sales account representative will build direct relationships with dealers and will work closely with and leverage the tools and resources provided to maximize opportunities and close sales gaps within the territories assigned. This is a position that must be success-driven, able to multi-task and work well in a diverse team and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment. Essential Functions: Contact customers through, but not limited to, phone calls and email to communicate programs and policies that lead to sales. Build relationships with customers and promote sales of all Mercury products through execution of sales programs and services. Upsell and cross-sell, suggesting product substitutes. Daily use of Salesforce.com or other CRM tool to document and facilitate multiple aspects of the sales cycle Monitor and learn marine market area information (products sold, competition, boat brands in the market, etc). Support retail sales activities to achieve maximum sales and market share. Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers and Regional Business Directors as well as cross-functional departments such as credit, supply chain and distribution. Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
