About The Position

The Accounting Intern provides hands-on support to the accounting department by assisting with day-to-day transactional work, special projects, and general accounting tasks as needed. This role is designed to help fill gaps across the department while providing practical exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash processing, and accounting operations in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Excel or accounting systems is a plus
• Comfortable working with routine tasks and longer-term projects

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement, automation & AI-First support
• Use approved tools, including AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with data entry and transaction processing in the accounting system
• Complete ad-hoc projects as they arise
• Prepare and assist with customer check deposits
• Enter cash receipts and assist with cash application
• Ensure invoices are properly coded, approved and documented
