About The Position

JOB PURPOSE: The Accounting Intern supports the finance team with day-to-day accounting functions while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role provides exposure to core accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls, helping the intern build practical skills aligned with their academic studies.

• Prolonged periods of sitting, using repetitive motion, typing, using hands and fingers and hearing.
• Frequent periods of standing, walking, and talking.
• Occasional periods of lifting office materials up to 20lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records.
• Support accounts payable processes, including invoice review and coding.
• Help reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and spreadsheets.
• Support month-end close activities.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Analyzing expense accounts.
• Assist with audit preparation as needed.
• Conduct basic research and troubleshoot as necessary.
• All Other Duties as Assigned
