About The Position

The Administrative Assistant for the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital & Richard J. Solove Research Institute is under general supervision of the Administrative Assistant manager but works directly with operations director and managers in completing various administrative tasks. The Administrative Assistant has no supervisory responsibility and maintains absolute confidentiality related to employee and patient information that may be viewed while carrying out various functions of the position. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting leadership (Nurse Managers) at the Powell ambulatory clinic location by performing essential administrative and clerical functions on one or more units. Administrative duties include but are not limited to maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings via Microsoft Teams, draft letters, arrange travel and submits reimbursement documentation, maintains HR files within the departments. Assist nurse managers with unit clerical duties including maintaining office supplies and equipment, perform computer data entry, record keeping such as tracking of staff education, payroll, timekeeping and attendance compliance. The Administrative Assistant will function as the primary contact person for various sources of documentation, distribution point for all internal and external communications. This position will require supporting multiple leaders sometimes located within the Powell building. Must be able to adapt to new environments and maintain an organized workspace.

Requirements

  • CCS requirements
  • Must have High School diploma or GED
  • Certification or vocational training may be required
  • 1 years of relevant experience required
