The position will report to the Neonatology Office Manager and provide assistance in planning, event coordination, purchasing, scheduling, and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience in general administrative office support or Associate's degree plus four (4) years of experience in general administrative office support or High School Diploma/GED plus six (6) years of experience in general administrative office support required.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interdependently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates office activities with the office manager and other professional staff within and outside the assigned unit.
  • Maintains ACH/UAMS on-duty physician schedule entries in Qgenda.
  • Gathers information for credentialing for the Neonatology Faculty.
  • Oversees completion of the Time and Effort forms for the Neonatology Department.
  • Updates Neonatology faculty profiles on the UAMS website.
  • Enter purchase orders/travel in SAP for Neonatology faculty physicians.
  • Management of IT inventory in the Neonatology Department.
  • Assist with didactic meetings and organizing meetings for residents.
  • Request privileges for department access to various programs and folders for faculty.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
