Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Summer 2025 ALIS System Administrator Intern. In this role, you will work primarily in a computer data center and is responsible for providing the overall on-site maintenance and support at the ALIS centralized Autonomic Logistics Operating Unit (ALOU) in Fort Worth, TX. Will serve as the primary point of contact for any customer questions or concerns. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of assisting with backups, restores, and disaster recovery of the system. Setting up administrator and service accounts. Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with other administrative disciplines (security, database, network, and offboard mission support). Monitor inbound and outbound data flow and correcting any service issues that cause system halts. This is an operational support role, the selected candidate may be required to work rotating shifts which may include weekends as dictated. Must be a US Citizen and ability to possess a US security clearance.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology from an accredited college
  • Must possess an understanding of computer information systems and processes
  • Must hold CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be a US Citizen and ability to possess a US security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • An interest in server systems administration and system trouble shooting
  • Windows Server Experience
  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Internet Protocol (IP) Switch Fabric architecture (e.g., Routing, Fail Over, etc.)
  • Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers (Win2012) and virtual machines
  • Applying operating system updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates
