About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Elizabethtown, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support loss prevention efforts, and provide clear communication and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in a healthcare location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities while performing armed patrol duties.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff, administration, and/or local public services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions that may vary by assignment and time of day.
• Monitor access control points and help to deter unauthorized entry, disruptive behavior, and/or theft through visible presence, patrol activity, and consistent application of site procedures.
• Complete required reports and logs such as incident documentation, patrol activity, and equipment checks, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
