About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Titusville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, and other security-related policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas; verify identification and/or authorization as required by post orders and local guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Document patrol activity, observations, and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and on-site contacts.
