About The Position

The School of Dentistry shares the mission of the Oregon Health & Science University to provide educational programs, basic and clinical research, and high quality care and community programs. The dental school prepares graduates in general dentistry and the dental specialties to deliver compassionate and ethical oro-facial health care. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. This position reports to (supervisor): Yota Stathopoulou, D.D.S., D.M.D., Ph.D., Division Head The duties of this position include: Participation in the education of advanced education and dental students, establishment and maintenance of a program of scholarly activity. Specific responsibilities will focus on clinical and didactic teaching at the graduate and predoctoral level, participating in dental research, participating in strategic planning activities, and providing direct patient care.

Requirements

D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a CODA accredited school or equivalent
Completion of advanced education program in Periodontics from a CODA accredited program
Ability to obtain Oregon Dental License and sedation certification
BLS Certificate issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

Board Certification in Periodontics highly desired
Experience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.
