The Office of Research, Assessment, Data, Accountability, and Reporting (RADAR) leads statewide data collection, research, accountability systems, and reporting. The office: Oversight of K-12 education data collection, validation, reporting systems and processes Ensures protection of confidential and personally identifiable student information Designs and conducts research studies to evaluate education policies and programs Develops and reports Oregon’s K–12 accountability system and supports related work Provides analytical and technical support to agency leadership, the legislature, and the Governor’s Office Supports the Quality Education Commission and related statutory reporting Leads and oversees student assessment implementation and reporting RADAR’s work informs education funding decisions, policy development, school improvement efforts, and public transparency across Oregon’s 197 school districts and 19 education service districts.
