Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: The Associate Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for coordinating and providing engineering support throughout the manufacturing facility in areas such as process improvements, technological advancements, cost improvements, facility maintenance, safety, and environmental regulation.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of GMP and FDA regulatory requirements for Class III medical devices or equivalent
  • Knowledge of manufacturing batch mixing/chemical processing
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • 0-1 years of experience in manufacturing technical operations
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs
  • Must be able to wear a respirator if required
  • Must be able to stand, move, twist and bend to operate, move and clean equipment and cleanrooms

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with using safety equipment, OSHA regulations and MSDS standards

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in plant CIP and process improvement programs as required.
  • Support, or lead as required, activities such as failure investigation, design of experiments, process capability studies, qualifications, and validations of processes and equipment.
  • Coordinate tactical plans geared towards timely completion of line extensions and major equipment installations, modifications, or enhancements.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety and environmental programs as required.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and improvement activities.
  • Select and qualify vendors for the procurement of production equipment or production materials.
  • Develop process engineering controls and specifications for manufacturing processes and associated equipment.
  • Participate in the transfer of new projects on-loads and OEM business from R&D to Manufacturing.
  • Author document changes in accordance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Assist in training of employees on product specifications and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required and requested in support of plant goals.
