While no one knows what's going to change the world next, our people are already working on it. THE WORK Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for Process Design, Work Instruction Planning, and Aircraft Installation Support of machining and quick change assembly planning, evaluating designs for producibility, developing tooling and manufacturing plans for components, assemblies and installations. Interface with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Programs, Product Safety and the supply base in an effort to resolve issues relating to production installation of harness and component assemblies. During the design phase the candidate’s work be exposed to generating work instructions and ordering tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of details, assemblies and installations. At the Program level candidate will potentially work with the design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets. The successful candidate will have basic understanding of manufacturing processes. You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, enabling you to effectively interface with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and execute manufacturing processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechnical Engineering or a related field
  • Proficient with CAD software: CATIA, SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing/Machining
  • Knowledge in Inventor, SketchUp
  • Computer programming languages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity in machining processes (turning, milling and grinding,
  • Planning of large assemblies
  • Familiarity with GD&T requirements
