About The Position

Four Inc. is seeking an Associate Solutions Architect Intern to support technical and operational initiatives across the organization. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to solution architecture, cloud and infrastructure concepts, and customer-focused technical work. This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with three in-office days per week at Four Inc.’s headquarters in Herndon, Virginia, and two remote workdays.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript)
  • Foundational knowledge of IT systems, software development, or infrastructure and architecture concepts
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-moving environment
  • Exposure to networking, security, storage, databases, or operating systems through coursework, labs, internships, or personal projects
  • Experience with technical projects, internships, or lab environments is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured training and mentorship program to develop foundational knowledge in cloud, infrastructure, and solution architecture
  • Learn how to evaluate customer or internal technical requirements and assist in shaping appropriate solution approaches
  • Provide support during solution design discussions and customer-facing engagements
  • Contribute to a hands-on technical project, applying architectural concepts and industry best practices
  • Develop written and verbal communication skills by presenting technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Other duties as assigned
