Ensure that all guards are always in place. Inform the supervisors of any maintenance problems or suggested changes to equipment. Is responsible for machine set-up and run per job specifications. Have available at the machine all the tools necessary to do the job. Assumes responsibility for the quality of the product run on multiple automatic machines. Salvage the damaged tubes whenever possible. Make every reasonable effort to meet or exceed the production standard for each job or multiple automatic machines Notify the supervisor of any maintenance or production problems as soon as possible. Fill out the tags accurately and see that they are attached to the bundle before it goes to the next operation. Assumes various other duties at the direction of the shift supervisor. The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.
Requirements

- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.
- Must have knowledge of simple computer programming.
- Requires excellent measurement skills.
- Ability to follow instructions from technical parameters.
- Perform duties proficiently and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules and hours.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and/ or walk, and/ or use arms and hands to load and unload material for extended period of time.
- Must be able to safely lift and load 50lbs.
- The employee must also be able to work outside in a variety of conditions.
- Candidates must be able to tolerate any climate, must be flexible with shift and hours.
