About The Position

As a Banquet Set‑Up Person at the Radisson Cedar Rapids, you'll be the backbone of our events team, helping transform rooms according to detailed event plans. Your work ensures every guest walks into a polished, professionally prepared space that's ready for an exceptional experience.

Requirements

• A high‑energy individual who enjoys physical, hands‑on work
• Great teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment (tables, chairs, staging)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Prior banquet or event experience is a plus, but not required-we'll train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces including tables, chairs, staging, linens, and décor
• Follow detailed banquet event orders (BEOs) to execute room layouts accurately
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe event areas
• Assist banquet staff during events as needed
• Respond quickly to last‑minute changes with a positive, "no problem" attitude
• Ensure all equipment is handled safely and stored properly
