NeighborImpact's Housing program offers crucial assistance to individuals and families in need within Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties, as well as the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. The program can provide eviction prevention and deposit assistance, prioritizing applications based on need rather than a first-come, first-served basis. We value the respect and dignity of all. The Rental Assistance Specialist is a vital, onsite role focused on facilitating housing assistance services. Responsibilities include managing client intake schedules, data entry, effective communication with clients and landlords, document collection for rental payments, and maintenance of payment tracking. Additionally, the specialist will assist with program-related assessments and provide general support. A demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to cultural responsiveness and equity are crucial. This role requires interaction with clients, property owners, partners and the public.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Advanced proficiency communicating in Spanish, both speaking and writing required
Valid driver’s license
Proof of current auto insurance
Access to reliable transportation
Satisfactory criminal background check

Nice To Haves

AA or equivalent certification preferred
Intermediate proficiency with computer and phone systems including MS Office programs, email, voicemail and office equipment preferred
Minimum two years on the job experience in customer service preferred
