Ensures the appropriate department charges are applied to patient accounts.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Verifies and corrects charges as necessary, adding appropriate CPT/HCPCS code modifiers.
• Reviews and analyzes daily and periodic charge reports.
• Complies with charging protocols and practices.
• Monitors assigned work queues to ensure all records are charged in a timely matter.
• Corrects dates of service as needed for charges posted to accounts without admit/discharge dates.
• Manually enters charges for miscellaneous tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
