Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Four years HD truck or Automotive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Effective Communicator with all levels of daily business contacts
“Can Do, make it happen” attitude coupled with a High-energy level with a contagious optimism for the service business
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Responsibilities

Communicates effectively with all business contacts and ensures all employees know that an environment of open and honest communication is expected.
Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
Ensures all employees maintain a professional appearance, works safely, and complies with all company policies.
Develops employees through hands on training, offsite training and mentoring to achieve their growth goals – ensuring that future openings within the company can be filled by internal candidates.
Completes employee evaluations timely as described by each position description.
Create a succession plan for each key position in the department including Body Shop Manager
Foster teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
Prepares and administers an annual Business Plan for the Body Shop department.
Establishes Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual goals by employee and for the department; and monitors the progress to each goal.
Travels to customer’s locations and develop relationships to ensure future business
Ensures Wreck Estimates are produced as needed and is a part of quoting conquest customers
Keeps a list of all Estimates produced and follows-up to ensure WE either capture the business or understand why WE did not get the business
Oversees the management, control and billing of the paint inventory
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
