About The Position

Kearney & Company is seeking a Business and Financial Operations SME to join the team! The successful candidate will join a cross-functional team that supports Financial Management CIO. Responsibilities include: Data gathering and consolidation, cross-organization coordination, and strategic communications Provide senior-level draft presentations related to Data Management work or any other ad-hoc task assign to team. Take detailed meeting notes for meetings with stakeholders outside SAF/FMFS Data Management team. Perform follow-up activities with stakeholders to ensure any Data Management findings/recommendations have been addressed and/or implemented. Prepare, update, and provide weekly/monthly status updates on Data Management tasks. Participate and represent Chief Data Office in data acquisition and development meetings. Collecting and tracking FM wide initiatives for prioritization and implementation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • May substitute Bachelor's degree with minimum 15 years of DAF FM experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial operations, audit remediation, or financial management in a government or defense setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness) requirements, the CFO Act, and NDAA audit mandates
  • Strong understanding of DAF Financial Management Systems and data governance frameworks
  • Experience working with CRIS datasets and financial reconciliation processes, particularly UoT reconciliations
  • Knowledge of SFIS compliance requirements and data validation best practices
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change management initiatives, particularly in onboarding and training users in financial systems
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
  • Active Secret Clearance required (requires U.S. citizenship)
