Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of effective and successful management experience in a casino and/or card room
Must have good project management skills; provide strong leadership and direction, prioritize project tasks, meet project deadlines, and effectively communicate with personnel, co-workers, and subordinates.
Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Suit and the ability to adapt to additional internal applications.
Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to make change using American Monetary units.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
A High School diploma or a General Education Degree
Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly
Ability to examine issues both strategically and tactically
Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision.
This position requires the ability to problem solve complex situations in an effective and efficient manner.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
Ability to read, write, and speak in English
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
Ability to express complex concepts in a clear manner
Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly in letters, memos and reports
Ability to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department Work Permit
Must be able to obtain & maintain a State of California Key Employee License.
Visual acuity (8-10 hours viewing computer)
Work in an enclosed and busy area.
Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 12 pounds
Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions
Adult content environment
Must be at least 21 years of age
24-hour operation with a very fast paced environment

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

Direct, manage and oversee the Casino’s Cage, Countroom, and Card Control Departments.
Formulate and implement the Cage’s policies and procedures on proper handling of cash, chips and negotiable instruments.
Formulate and implement the Countroom and Card Control policies and procedures on the box pulls and accurate documentation of the Casino’s gaming revenue.
Interact with Accounting on the audit of the Cage, Countroom and Card Control Departments.
Responsible for ordering Gaming Chips when requested and Card Control Decks when needed.
Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Participate in training and development of staff skills, utilizing coaching and mentoring
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Adhere to all Gaming Laws and Guidelines.
Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Controller and VP and General Manager.
