The Centralized Payroll Analyst is responsible for preparing payroll for multiple property locations by following proper specifications and standards, auditing payroll data, and maintaining files and records to produce accurate payroll period reports. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and will represent the hotels and company in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements

  • 4 years payroll, finance or communication work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of the business processes that are supported by the integrated suite of applications including payroll, time and labor management, accruals, taxation, and reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple-tasks under pressure ensuring that issues with the greatest user and business impacts are addressed and resolved first.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to break down complex system issues into business terms that users and managers can understand.
  • Ability to work effectively on a project as an individual contributor
  • Proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Enjoys helping and supporting others and is an adaptive communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Process and review all relevant functions in preparation of multiple biweekly payrolls.
  • Prepare and process manual checks for miscellaneous adjustments, terminations and severance.
  • Work directly with People Services to maintain employee records and data in UKG.
  • Respond to and resolve employee payroll questions and concerns regarding wage types, regular pay, overtime pay, and timecards.
  • Escalate issues to Payroll Support Team, Property Finance Leaders, or other relevant cross functional problems when issues cannot be prescribed or resolved within standard functionality of the applications.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and calls to provide payroll data and insight.
  • Manage and verify biweekly funding of 401k for relevant pay groups
  • Provide regular communication to users informing them of common issues, errors, new processes, updates, at the property level.
  • Conduct payroll training for new property leadership on approving timecards, payroll deadlines, and hour transfers.
  • Work on special projects when applicable.
