Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college.
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a professional learning and development program within a public or business organization.
  • Requires three years of workplace learning experience in a leadership role.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers five (5) years of professional experience designing, facilitating and evaluating multi-modal learning experiences for an adult workplace audience.
  • Prefers extensive experience working collaboratively with staff and clients at all levels in the organization to identify the need for and provide high quality workplace learning experiences.
  • Prefers mastery of facilitation skills and extensive experience leading and facilitating in-person organizational retreats and teambuilding experiences.
  • Prefers two (2) years of professional experience using, developing and/or maintaining Learning Management Systems.
  • Prefers a learning or organizational development degree, or equivalent workplace learning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Chief Learning Officer administering the CMS Learning and Professional Development Program for all agencies, boards, and commissions under the jurisdiction of the Governor.
  • Plans, develops, and organizes professional development quality control with the implementation and management of quality enhancement projects.
  • Oversees multi-media learning, training, and professional development design, and delivery.
  • Serves as a full line supervisor.
  • Participates in top level management meetings.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
