A day in the life. As our Client Specialist on the Employee Health & Benefits team, you’ll: Develop effective business relationships with assigned clients in conjunction with Client Manager and producers through in-person visits, telephone and electronic contact at multiple levels within client organization. Assist in marketing and implementation of new and existing small group business; coordinate internal/external resources, communications and meetings. Create, edit or order and print/collate employee communication materials. Add/Term/Change employee enrollments, ID cards, claim issues Act as a primary contact for day-to-day service issues and other inquiries for assigned clients; act as liaison between clients and vendors/carriers to resolve issues and identify process improvement opportunities. Assist Client Manager in the review of internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, external vendor/carrier contracts, summary plan documents (SPD's) and employee communications to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements. Update and Maintain Agency Database systems and files. Continue to develop understanding of health & welfare benefit products, services, technical tools, and vendor/carrier markets. Demonstrate an ability to prioritize work, work efficiently and accurately Maintain effective working relationships with team members, carriers and clients. Ensure confidentiality of information acquired. Consistently strive to make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction. Deliver professional client service for new and renewal business. Adherence to all aspects of the agency’s guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree; some college or higher education preferred.
  • Preferred 2 years’ experience in the welfare benefits plan industry working for an employer, insurer/administrator, consultant, or broker.
  • Life & Health/Accident License.
  • Ability to navigate through relationships and relate to various levels within the client audience along with the ability to effectively address client expectations.
  • Proven ability to follow through on and successfully execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards.

Responsibilities
