About The Position

Are you a skilled CNC machinist or tooling expert looking to take your career in an exciting new direction? Use your knowledge of machining and tooling to help customers improve tool performance, extend tool life, and optimize their manufacturing processes.

If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and providing technical solutions, this role is a perfect fit. While sales experience is helpful, it's not required—we'll provide you with the tools and training you need to succeed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of machine shop experience (CNC machining preferred).
• Related technical degree (e.g., CNC Machining, Industrial Machinist) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to uncover needs and recommend effective tooling solutions.
• Excellent time management, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
• Proficient with computers and basic software applications.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• This role transitions from a salaried position to commission-based compensation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts in the Des Moines and Central Iowa areas.
• Provide technical expertise and offer solutions to help customers optimize their machining processes.
• Write, follow up on, and close quotes.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by offering responsive, reliable support.
• Perform additional duties as required to contribute to team success.
