About The Position

Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift this includes by not limited to all cranes and tools and complete the necessary documentation. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift. The proper use of air/plasma. Operation of all applicable pneumatic tools as required. Responsible for completing all relevant paperwork as needed for burning processes. Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and or other identifying marks as required. Position and secure work pieces using hoists or cranes. Responsible for the replacement of fuel, oxygen cylinders where applicable. Upkeep of all burning hardware and replacement of consumables as needed. Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Monitor equipment operation to ensure that products are not flawed. Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods. Responsible for the selection of raw materials from indoor stock and yard stock. Material handling – operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of this equipment. Successfully complete all training and safety programs for the following: Plasma burning table Head Burner Pneumatic tools Be able to accurately use tape measures, levels, scales, caliper and micrometer. Ability to work will in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job. Must have a basic understanding of computers. Must have reading, writing and simple math skills. Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 40 hours, Monday through Thursday; to be determined by each division. Standard hour requirement is four (4) – ten (10) hour shifts.  Overtime hours may be required beyond standard schedule. Travel is not required.
