The purpose of the Coating Supervisor is to be responsible for coordinating work flow and establish production schedules that meet production goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Direct department operations within company policies and procedures. Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, and raw material. Support strategic objectives. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Continually improve safety performance by enhancing the safety culture and addressing opportunities for improvement. Promote a well-trained and motivated work force. Oversee the hiring and performance of new associates. Work with other departments to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, quality, and safety. Ensure adequate selection of supervisors and crew leaders. Conduct performance reviews, lead, coach, and motivate supervisors and crew leaders. Improve product quality and processes. Ensure all established processes and procedures are being followed. Focus on fact based problem solving in conjunction with a team approach via the corrective action team. Benchmark and foster continual improvement. Work to establish management practices which include all associates positive involvement in continual improvement. Attend all corporately scheduled meetings fully prepared. Develop relationship with all support groups and other department heads. Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume. Maintain individual skills by keeping up to date with the latest production and production management concepts.
