About The Position

The Communications Lead is responsible for developing and executing communication initiatives that align with the Global Food Communications Strategy and are delivered under the direction of Senior Manager Communications, Change and Employee Experieince. This role ensures clear, consistent, and engaging messaging that supports business objectives, drives employee engagement, and strengthens the company’s reputation internally and externally. Develop and implement communication plans in line with the Global Food Business Strategy and priorities, ensuring consistency across all channels and audiences. Lead internal communications initiatives to inform, engage, and inspire employees, including change management and leadership messaging, under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Communications, Change and Employee Experience. Create and oversee high-quality content for multiple platforms, maintaining clarity, brand alignment, and measurable impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university
  • 5+ years related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication strategies
  • Plan and deliver communication initiatives that support business priorities and align with the Global Food Communications Strategy. Focus on strategic planning, messaging frameworks, channel selection, and ensuring consistency across all communications. Monitor effectiveness and recommend improvements based on analytics and feedback, under the guidance of the Senior Manager Communications, Change and Employee Experieince.
  • Lead internal communications initiatives
  • Design and execute programs that keep employees informed, engaged, and connected to the company’s vision and goals. Drive leadership communications, support change management activities, and manage engagement for key business events and milestones—ensuring timely, transparent, and audience‑appropriate messaging.
  • Manage external communications, sponsorships, and reputation
  • Support external communication activities including media relations, press releases, and digital content to maintain and enhance the company’s reputation. Oversee Global Food community sponsorships and drive proactive community and local media relations for Global Food’s Community Programs, strengthening our employee value proposition, employer brand, and reputation.
  • Create and oversee high-quality content and brand standards
  • Develop compelling, accurate, and engaging content for multiple platforms, including internal channels, social media, and executive presentations. Oversee and manage the content calendar to ensure timely delivery and coordination with the Global Communications and Brand team. Manage and govern content on Global Food intranet pages, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with brand and communication standards. Uphold all corporate brand standards by advising and educating the business on correct use and application of brand elements, and maintain Global Food corporate photography and video assets, updating as required. Ensure all materials reflect brand voice and strategic priorities, and track engagement and impact to continuously improve content effectiveness.
