About The Position

Archera empowers organizations of all sizes to optimize their cloud costs through unique Insured Commitments. Hundreds of customers rely on Archera's innovative FinTech solutions to increase their cloud ROI while accelerating revenue objectives and service agility. Archera's unique cloud rate products enable teams to maximize savings, hedge against usage changes and evolving cloud service provider offerings, and reinvest capital into top-line revenue initiatives. Archera works closely with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, and a broad network of software and services partners to help each customer execute upon a bespoke, financially-prudent cloud growth and success strategy. Archera is looking for a Community Marketing Manager to build and own our in-market community presence across the Bay Area and key geos. This role sits at the intersection of field event programming, community building, and outbound relationship development - with a clear mandate: turn warm engagement into qualified pipeline. You'll design and run a recurring field event program - happy hours, practitioner dinners, technical meetups, and series - owning everything from concept and guest list to execution and follow-up. This is a relationship-first role. You're not filling seats; you're building a community of FinOps and DevOps practitioners who see Archera as the connective tissue of their professional network. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable hosting a room of 40 engineers, writing a sharp invite sequence, and reporting on pipeline generated from last month's event series.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in field marketing, community marketing, field BDR/SDR, or a hybrid role within B2B tech
  • Proven track record running events or community programs end-to-end — not just supporting them
  • Strong in-person presence: confident initiating conversations, networking, and presenting to technical audiences
  • Disciplined follow-up and pipeline accountability — you know how to turn a warm handshake into a booked meeting
  • Sharp copywriting skills for outbound sequences, event promotion, and social content
  • Familiarity with prospecting and outreach tools (Apollo, Outreach, HubSpot, Smartlead, or similar) and CRM systems
  • Highly organized with strong project management instincts across multiple concurrent programs
  • Based in the Bay Area (required); willingness to travel ~10–15% for events outside the Bay Area

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, FinOps, or adjacent technical markets
  • Basic design proficiency (Canva or similar) for simple event assets
  • Experience building or scaling recurring event series or community programs from scratch

Responsibilities

  • Design and run a recurring field event program (happy hours, practitioner dinners, technical meetups, and series) across the Bay Area and select geos — own venue sourcing, guest lists, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up end-to-end
  • Build and maintain a targeted community of FinOps, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure practitioners through consistent in-market presence and outbound relationship development
  • Own all outbound prospecting to fill events: build invite lists, write copy, and execute outreach across email, LinkedIn, and tools like Apollo or Outreach
  • Network and represent Archera at events as a primary brand ambassador — facilitate introductions, qualify attendees, and naturally communicate Archera's value proposition (pitch certification required before speaking)
  • Drive same-day and next-day follow-up with every attendee; convert engagement into qualified meetings and hand off to Sales with context
  • Write compelling copy for invite sequences, event landing pages, follow-up emails, and social promotion
  • Track and report on event and community performance metrics; contribute ideas to program strategy and evolution
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure field activity aligns with pipeline goals and ICP targeting

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Remote-first culture
  • Opportunity to shape and scale a category-defining FinTech platform
