About The Position

The Community Relations Manager is responsible for developing, building, and maintaining programs and activities that will have a positive impact on the community. This role will connect community residents to community resources, including but not limited to medical, dental, behavioral health, substance use, employment and training programs, food shelves, public assistance, SSI and SSDI, childcare, transportation, subsidized housing opportunities, and legal assistance. The Community Relations Manager will build and maintain relationships with members of the community, key individuals and stakeholders, and other partnering organizations. This role will develop and implement a recruitment plan to solicit volunteers and expand available community resources through public relations activities, including conducting presentations to department staff, community groups, students, and residents. Key responsibilities include: Serve as a point of contact for neighboring businesses, institutions, and communities Be the principal ambassador for the organization, responsible for sharing its vision with the local community Supervise the organization's Community Outreach Navigator team members and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively develop and nurture relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Must be able to travel with personal car.
  • Experience: 2 years of preferred related work and management
  • Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field, and 3-5 years of related community outreach/engagement experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • English, Spanish a plus, 3-5 years of experience in case management, community outreach, volunteer coordination, plus two years of experience working with the homeless or underserved population preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and implements effective interagency programs and relationships; manages and monitors community support and conducts re-evaluations. Conduct program resource evaluation to include assessing and evaluating the need for additional or new resources and services.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to develop and coordinate resources to establish effective working relationships; receive and make appropriate referrals. Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of service resource delivery within the department; maintains a database of resource providers and services; prepares reports as needed
  • Recruits, develops, and coordinates varied community resources to include shelter, clothing, food, recreation, and therapeutic needs.
  • Identifies opportunities for donations to include in-kind gifts; coordinates donation drives; organizes and manages monetary and in-kind donations, including deliveries, inspections, and distributions of donations
  • Actively seeking new community partnerships to increase and maintain CRCHC Community engagement.
  • Maintain a directory and inventory of outreach support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
  • Collaborate with various local organizations to build awareness of coverage options, spur enrollment, and build referral linkages.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities by initiating or contributing to monitoring, measuring, analyzing, improving and/or controlling program goals, objectives and/or services.
  • Organize community outreach programs and coordinate special events that promote products, services, and ideas of the company
  • Draft and distribute communications that promote the company as well as individuals and groups within it
  • Attend relevant events and activities to represent the company and build strong relationships with key community members
  • Support current incentive, regulation, and certification requirements (such as Meaningful Use, PCMH and UDS) through documentation, participation in initiatives, and other activities as directed.
