About The Position

Location: Option of Fully Remote or Hybrid (Orlando, FL; New York, NY or Englewood Cliffs, NJ) Business: VERSANT | Supporting Tech & Ops / News / Corporate Functions Reports to: Head of Talent Acquisition What You’ll Do As a Contract Recruiter, you will lead full-cycle recruitment for your respective area(s): tech & ops, news and/or corporate functions. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers, HRBPs, and stakeholders to shape talent strategies that align with business goals and foster a diverse, innovative, and high-performing workforce. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Recruitment Ownership - Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process for tech & ops (across engineering, product, data and related tech roles), news (options producers and reporters, data journalists, producers/writers – prediction markets, equity analysts) and/or corporate function roles (finance, communications, digital, marketing roles) - from intake through offer. Strategic Talent Consulting - Partner with business leaders and HR to understand team objectives and build tailored, data-driven recruitment strategies. Candidate Sourcing & Engagement - Develop and execute sourcing plans using a variety of channels (LinkedIn, GitHub, events, local colleges/universities, etc.) to attract top candidates. Build and maintain strong talent pipelines. Stakeholder Partnership - Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing market insights, calibration, interview coaching, and support throughout the hiring process. TA Innovation & Projects - Contribute to broader TA projects such as improving candidate experience, enhancing recruitment tech, and refining inclusive hiring practices. Market Intelligence & Reporting - Leverage talent analytics and industry trends to guide recruiting decisions and influence hiring strategies. Brand & Culture Ambassadorship - Represent VERSANT at recruiting and industry events, conferences, and networking meetups to promote our employer brand and culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle, in-house recruitment experience, with a strong track record of quality hires in any of the following domains: tech & ops, news or corporate functions
  • Proven experience hiring in dynamic, high-growth environments. Agile, entrepreneurial mindset - thrives in ambiguity and “build” environments
  • Experience influencing and partnering with senior business leaders and HRBPs. Strong communication, consulting, and organizational skills
  • Excellent sourcing skills using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and social recruiting platforms
  • Experience contributing to TA branding, candidate experience, or recruitment process improvements
  • Proficiency in ATS systems and recruiting analytics/reporting
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the U.S.
