About The Position

To become a counseling intern in Poudre School District, please complete the Counseling Intern application. This application is for placements starting in fall 2026. To be considered for a counseling intern placement in one of our schools, you should: be entering your final semester/year of a counseling preparation program be able to pass a criminal background check, including submitting a complete set of fingerprints to the Colorado Department of Education/PSD be enrolled in a college/university that has a signed internship agreement with PSD (see below) Placements will be completed with the following criteria: availability of qualified staff/counselor(s) in requested areas willingness of schools/staff to take an intern outcome of internship interview between principal, counselor lead/supervisor, and prospective intern Current Counselor University Partners: Adams State University Capella University Colorado State University University of Northern Colorado University of Wyoming Walden University If your university is not listed or you have any questions regarding the student teaching placement process, please contact the Talent Team at [e-mail].
