What this job involves: Join JLL as a Technician where you'll play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing building operations for our clients. This position involves monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining complex mechanical systems including air compressors, boilers and dryers, emergency backup systems, and hot water systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of critical building infrastructure while contributing to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge building systems and advance your technical expertise in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state equivalent
  • At least 6 years of experience working with mechanical systems
  • Any valid certification for the related equipment (if applicable)
  • Skilled in operating electric hand tools and required equipment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles
  • 24/7 on-call availability required in all weather conditions
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with water treatment systems and chiller operations
  • Knowledge of three-phase motor wiring and electrical controls
  • Familiarity with CMMS work order systems
  • Experience supervising contractors and maintenance providers

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and adjust air compressor, boilers and dryers performance
  • Perform preventive maintenance on critical equipment including chillers, air compressors, generators, fire pumps, and water treatment systems
  • Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing, and electrical controls under Site Electrician direction
  • Supervise contractors and third-party maintenance providers during equipment servicing
  • Complete daily work timesheets and maintain accurate records in CMMS work order system
  • Cross-train team members and provide backup coverage as needed
  • Maintain tools, order supplies, and ensure safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials
