Housed within the Allbritton Center for the Study of Public Life, the Democracy250 Program Fellow provides operational and administrative support for DEMOCRACY250. The position will assist with program coordination, scheduling, communications, and logistics associated with the training and deployment of the Democracy Stewards corps. This role supports a national effort to prepare students to contribute constructively to democratic institutions through responsible, nonpartisan civic participation. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Fellow will help ensure the smooth coordination of program activities, including training sessions, convenings, and communications with partner campuses and organizations. This one-year position provides Wesleyan graduates with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting civic engagement programming and higher education initiatives while contributing to the operational success of DEMOCRACY250. Responsibilities include: Administrative and Logistical Program Support Assist with coordination and implementation of Democracy250 program activities including scheduling meetings, trainings, workshops, and partner convenings. Assist with logistical planning for workshops, student trainings, and partner events. Coordinate travel arrangements, stipends, and reimbursements for participating students. Assist with the preparation and distribution of program materials for participating students and partner organizations. Help coordinate communications among partner campuses, civic organizations, and internal stakeholders. Program Engagement and Initiative Support Assist with the planning and implementation of Democracy250 programming and special initiatives, gaining experience in civic engagement program development. Support engagement with participating students and student organizations to support Democracy250 activities and student outreach efforts. Support communications and coordination with partner campuses and civic organizations participating in Democracy250. Data, Communications, and Reporting Prepare program communications, including email updates, informational materials, and briefing documents. Support and maintain organized records of program communications and documentation of program activities and outcomes. Maintain participation records for student cohorts and partner institutions. Assist with the collection and organization of program data for internal reporting and evaluation. Other duties as assigned. Consideration for this role is limited to a graduating Wesleyan Student or Wesleyan Alum. This is a one year, on campus position. (Relocation assistance to CT is available for those who qualify).
