Desktop Refresh Technician

TEKsystemsMinneapolis, MN
9d$18 - $23Onsite

About The Position

Overview: This position is a technical role responsible for replacing outdated hardware with new hardware, primarily desktops and laptops. At times, the role may also include replacing printers, scanners, or other peripherals. Daily/weekly task list that will provide details for which machines/users are being refreshed. Techs will need to make contact with the user to schedule the refresh -need to be assertive to follow up and drive the process with the user in a customer friendly manner and see things through. Can lean on the site coordinator if needed. Success will include looking at the location and maximizing your time to refresh multiple users. Need someone with initiative to understand how to create efficiencies in the process vs. one at a time across locations. Everything is documented but they have to follow it to a tee. for example, there is a halt during the installing and rather than realize they need someone else to get involved, they may just forge on and it will result in issues for the user. Techs that have not been successful do not communicate to the user and leave it up to them to call the service desk - this is an example of poor customer service.
