About The Position

Clientis seeking an IT Hardware Technician to support a large-scale laptop refresh initiative. The technician will focus heavily on imaging, staging, configuring, and preparing end-user devices. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone detail‑oriented, hungry to learn, and eager to grow within a fast-moving IT environment. The project includes completing 100+ remaining laptop refreshes, with additional new hire and replacement laptops continually added. Opportunities exist to learn additional responsibilities and potentially transition into a full-time role. Laptop Imaging & Staging (Primary Focus): -Unbox, power, and cable laptops for imaging. -Apply BIOS configuration changes per company standards. -Perform PXE imaging and verify successful load. -Enroll devices into Intune using service accounts. -Initiate OS updates and monitor automated Intune-driven software installations. -Manage 6–8 concurrent device setups during staging cycles. -Ensure correct laptop model is assigned based on user role (three models in rotation). User Configuration / White‑Glove Setup: -Sign into machines as the end user to complete profile setup. -Configure Outlook, email signature, and user-specific settings. -Import Chrome/Google bookmarks for users where applicable. -Complete checklist-driven quality review before device deployment. Additional Responsibilities: -Build and configure iPads for construction and sales teams. -Track and fulfill hardware tickets (monitors, keyboards, accessories). -Package and ship equipment before daily pickup deadlines. -Maintain attention to detail across labeling, user assignment, and documentation. -Support the team with on-site workloads as needed.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with device imaging (PXE, SCCM, Intune, or similar tools).
  • Understanding of Intune enrollment workflows.
  • Familiarity with laptop hardware setup and basic configuration.
  • Ability to handle multiple device builds simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, especially in model selection and user assignment.
  • Strong work ethic—must be willing to learn, proactive, and reliable.
  • Internship or relevant IT experience strongly preferred.
