About The Position

We need a Desktop Support Technician with solid hands-on experience and strong customer service skills for a healthcare environment in Springfield, MA. This is a contract-to-hire position requiring weekend availability and on-call coverage. Serious inquiries only.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of hands-on IT support experience - hardware break-fix and Windows imaging
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends (first or second shift as scheduled) plus on-call rotation
  • Reliable transportation for onsite support

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare IT experience
  • Familiarity with cloud implementations
  • Experience with ticketing systems like Autotask

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on hardware support and break-fix work - swapping parts, troubleshooting issues, getting people back up and running
  • Windows imaging and deployment of new laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Onsite support at client locations throughout the facility
  • Setting up new users with equipment and access
  • Diagnosing connectivity issues, managing updates, and resolving performance problems
  • Supporting specialized healthcare equipment including TeleNeuro carts and SOC systems
  • Providing on-call support and responding to alerts as scheduled
  • Password resets, software support, and general troubleshooting
